Max Chorowski, MD, FACOG
Dr. Chorowski is a Board Certified Gynecologist leading The Counseling & Gynecology Group staff. He is fellowship trained in Behavioral Gynecology and Human Sexuality, as well as Consultation-Liaison Psychiatry. He is one of the first gynecologists in the country to integrate traditional and alternative therapies for gynecologic problems. He has written and lectured on PMS, sexual counseling and menopause. Dr. Chorowski's expertise in office gynecology was recognized by his leadership of the Wesson Women's Clinic at Baystate Medical Center from 1980 to 1985, and he remains on staff at BMC & Mercy Medical Center. Dr. Chorowski was recently recognized by Baystate Medical Center and Tufts University of Medicine for 30 years of service. He is also an Assistant Clinical Professor of Gynecology and a Clinical Instructor of Psychiatry at the Tufts University School of Medicine.
When he's away from the office, Dr. Chorowski enjoys traveling and is the past president for his house of worship.
Jenifer Fleming, MSN, CNM
Jenifer is a certified nurse-midwife serving The Counseling & Gynecology Group as a nurse practitioner. She has been involved in women's healthcare for 25 years, is a practitioner of complementary therapies and specializes in caring for women throughout their life cycles. From adolescent reproductive health and sexuality, to alternative care during menopause, Jenny offers a broad range of treatment options. Jenny has received her degrees and certifications from the University of Sussex, England; University of Glasgow, Scotland; Yale University and the American College of Nurse Midwives. Jenny has also served as a consultant to the Boston Women's Health Book Collective (Our Bodies, Ourselves).
Miriam Schwartz, MSN, APRN, FNP-BC
Miriam Schwartz is a board certified Family Nurse Practitioner. She has been in clinical practice for over 15 years, focusing on wellness, and providing particular attention to hormonal imbalance and bio-identical hormone therapy. Mim follows a holistic approach to healthcare and works to empower patients through counseling and education, supporting them in making good health and lifestyle choices. She strives to provide comprehensive care by bridging the gap between conventional and functional medicine. She received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Northeastern University and her Master of Science in Nursing from Yale University, and has held positions as courtesy faculty with Yale School of Nursing, UConn, and Quinnipiac University. Outside the office, Mim and her husband are busy raising five children and remaining active in the community.
Tiana Mirapae, M.Ed., LCSW
Tiana is a psychotherapist who specializes in an integrative, holistic approach to women's health care for the treatment of PMS, menopause, chronic pelvic pain, male and female sexual dysfunction, PTSD, depression and anxiety. Tiana is a certified EMDR therapist and consultant, TAT, Tapas Acupressure Technique therapist and trainer, clinical hypnotherapist, and practitioner of classical homeopathy and botanical medicine and nutrition. She works with individuals and couples as a marital and sex therapist, and she facilitates women's spirituality and empowerment groups. Tiana earned her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from CCNY and her Masters of Education in Counseling Psychology from Springfield College.
Lauren Gaffney, LMHC
Lauren is a psychotherapist specializing in treating clients with anxiety, depression, trauma, post-traumatic stress, infertility and relationship issues. She utilizes specialty training in treatment techniques such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and EMDR Therapy. She works with men and women as well as couples seeking marital and relationship counseling. Lauren earned her master's degree in counseling psychology at Antioch University New England.
